FIND my dad

Posted by Sally <esdemio@att.net> on Sat, 20 Aug 2005, in response to I AM 14, MY MOM JUST DIED ON MY BIRTHDAY, AND I HAVE NO FATHER TO HELP ME GET THROUGH IT!!!HELP!!!!, posted by kiera on Thu, 07 Apr 2005

Keira - you have to start with a copy of your birth certificate. Means you would have to have the help of the people you are living with. You know your mother's name - yes? You know what city and state you are living in and whether you have always lived there. Your records from your school should have both parents names in their records. Your birth record is on file in the city and state of your birth!!!!! You have a last name - yes? Get the help of the people you are living with. Did the courts appoint a guardian for you? They should have. The guardian may be able to give you the information you want.
Now I have given you three sources to use to find your father's name. Actual birth records filed in the city and state by the date of your birth and your last name!
The school records on file in the school you went to last year. and simplist of all, ask the court appointed guardian what he has on file and if he would help you to look up your birth certificate.
