Staci - means?

Posted by Sally <esdemio@att.net> on Sat, 20 Aug 2005, in response to What does the name Staci mean?, posted by Staci on Tue, 16 Aug 2005

comes from the man's name Eustace which is from the Greeks. During the Victorian period, it was quite the thing to change the man's name to something feminim in your case Eustacia now transferred to "Stacy" or Staci"
Eustace or its female counterpart Eustacia is more used (at least at one time) in Great Britain. So it comes down to your name is a contraction of an older, longer word.
