Conron's of Ontario, Canada

Posted by Donna Smith ( nee Conron) <dls@northstarrdesign.net> on Thu, 21 Apr 2005, in response to Conron name, posted by Rebecca Pratt on Fri, 30 Jul 2004

You know it is strange but I don't know very much about my Conron heritage at all. My dad was an only child, and his father had brothers & sisters I think but I don't know who they would be.

My Grandfather Matthiew B. Conron, comes from around the C ollingwood area in Ontario. He was a sailor on the great lakes for many years before, working at the Shipyard in Collingwood. He would have been born sometime around 1880 maybe a little earlier or a little later.

If anyone knows of possible relatives to this strain of the family I would be happy to hear from you. We are all but gone as well. There were only 3 in our family and two of us are females - my brother is the only male and he is not likely to have any children of his own to carry the name.
