I have just noticed your various messages about the Nembhard family. I have been doing research on the Hibbert family who were related to the Nemhards by marrige. Both families were originally white plantation families with trading interests, sugar, slaves etc, whose origins in the Carribean area date from the early 18th century. I don,t have my research notes immediately at hand, but my recollection is that the first Nembhard in the Carribean was Danish, not German or Dutch, but I can check more carefully if anyone is interested. I am especially interested in any information about Mabel Nemhard who was in London in the 1910's , and who explored Hibbert family history. Can anyone help?Responses
