maybe a lead

I am searching fo rmy birth father too and found this link. It may help you. He has a son named Gilbert, could be your dad. Hope it helps, good luck!

Elbert Gilford Perry Jr., 81, of 35 Southpointe Drive, died Sunday, Dec.16, 2001, at Magnolia Place.

Survivors: Wife, Mary Perry; sons, Joseph P., Fatiha and Kevin Perry; daughters, Diahann Thomas and Renee Reid; stepchildren, Juliette, Gilbert, Bobby, April and Tina Perry; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased: Parents, Elbert and Elizabeth Perry.

A private memorial service was held Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at Cremation Society of South Carolina. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials: Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave.,Greenville, SC 29605.
