hello richard this may be a long shot but my mother was also a HARLAND,we have also a conection with the CARTERS of Aycliffe Durham,another connection with the surname of GIBSON north yorkshire, Catherine Gibson married a Richard Harland in Wrelton N yorkshire,one of their children was Jeremiah Harland,he married Isabella Robinson of Aycliffe, one of their children was Jeremiah Thomas Harland,(my gt g father,who married Mary Bohan,one of their children was Oliver John Davison Harland My grandfather if you have any connection please e mail me regards Glenys
