slant to Nembhard history

Hi there all. Just finished reading the wonderful insight to the Nembhard name by Jay. I have just emailed him to say hello. if he reads this before the email then Howdy cousin. He told me many years ago about the German Jewish link. What i find intriguing is that my father( jay's uncle) has a Portugese Middle name.So have I( da Costa). What makes it all the more interesting is the the response from a previous submission to this notice board, that the name originally came from Brazil. Can anyone shed any light.
