Cummins family

Posted by Patricia C. Gardner <boobear@bellsouth.net> on Tue, 04 Nov 2003, in response to Cumming/Cummins, posted by Carol Ashbu on Sat, 25 Oct 2003

Hi. I happened to see your request for Cummings/Cummins Information. There is a gravemarker in the Short Cemetery at Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church located in a little community Spring Place, Tennessee. Its official name is Archer. It can be shown either way on current maps. This grave is just south of the large Short family plot. This plot is surrounded by an iron fence. The name is Cincinnati Cummins. I believe there is a date. The Marshes published a book on Marshall County, Tennessee
There is a copy in the Lewisburg, Tn Library. I don't know how close you are to the cemeterey. I will research this date for you but it will be next week before I can send you this information. Upon reviewing my note the name may be Cummings. I don,t remember for sure. Pat
