McEwen/McKeown

I am searching for information on Andrew McEwen/McKeown. My great grandfather was Hugh Carson McEwen of Buffalo, NY who emigrated from Ballymena, Country Antrim, Northern Ireland around 1845 and died in Buffalo in 1905. His father was named Andrew and was married to a Molly Hutchinson, presumably in the Ballymena area. It appears that between Ireland and the US there was a change of surname, from McKeown to McEwen though the details of this are not known. One US document contains both surnames, but no documents have been located in Ireland.
