Briggs family in Ireland

Posted by Rosemary Henderson <belfastrose@ntlworld.com> on Tue, 10 Aug 2010, in response to Briggs, posted by Katherine Briggs McBride on Sun, 28 Mar 2010

Haven't heard of Irish Briggs????

I live in Northern Ireland and am a descendant of a Joseph Briggs who lived and worked on the land in a place called Grange, Oneilland in Co Armagh in Northern Ireland. A lot of their daughters left Ireland to settle in Canada but all married so aren't Briggs any more. There was one son who emigrated called Samuel. I think Joseph may have had brothers or at least, cousins here in Ireland - there seemed to be a big family connection in Co Armagh. There was also a big Quaker connection living and worshipping there. My website address is below which gives details of my Briggs family, so far . . . .

Best wishes to all who are "digging".
