Harland and Wolfe

Posted by Blue Harland <blueharland@hotmail.com> on Sat, 09 Jan 2010, in response to harland/gibson/carter, posted by GLENYS ELLWOOD on Thu, 13 Jan 2005

The Harland of Harland and Wolfe was from Yorkshire as well, they just built ships in Ireland. All Harlands I suspect came from Yorkshire originally. There is a Harland Moor with a stone circle (Har is old English for a gray or stone sacred place) and there used to be a village Harland near there.
