CAMPBELL and FINLEY links...

Posted by Greg Campbell <GregCampbellUSA@gmail.com> on Thu, 19 Nov 2009, in response to campbells of meadville pa, posted by kated on Sat, 27 Mar 2004

I have a brick wall ancestor named Charles Muir CAMPBELL
who moved about a bit. I'm pretty sure his kin were in Edinburgh,
Glasgow, Virginia, Jamaica, and probably Berbice or Demerara in
what is now called Guyana. He was born about 1795 or 1796 -
and after being orphaned at a young age, wound up in NJ around
1802 or 1803 (+/- a few years).

He was educated by a Robert FINLEY in Basking Ridge NJ and there
was a CAMPBELL and FINLEY marriage that might make it a kinship
situation. Many of this group were in VA and WV / PA, as well as
some from that line that came in from Obion Co, TN.

Hope it helps!
Greg
