Freemans around Lisburn/Lambeg

Posted by Arthur Freeman <arthur_sally@bigpond.com> on Sat, 14 Nov 2009

Hi from Australia, I am trying to chase up my ancestry (would also like to know the exact derivation of the Freeman Family name - are we from the English Freemans, or the Gaelic O'seary?).
My Grandfather (William John Freeman) was born 1873 in the Dunmurry district (I believe Lisburn hospital) and his parents (William Freeman and Mary Johnston) gave Lambeg, Lambeg as their residential address.
Anyone else chasing up the Freemans??
Many thanks, Arthur
