Correction: Limerick Malone, Malan, Malane, etc

Posted by Robert Berry <bobberry@stny.rr.com> on Mon, 27 Jul 2009, in response to Tipperary: Malone, Malan, Malane, etc., posted by Robert Berry on Sun, 26 Jul 2009

After I let my first post fly I realized my mistake. David Malan (Malone, Malane, Mallon ..) was from Co. Limerick. He married Margaret Power (Powers) from Co. Tipperary. To repeat my question: Is there a common thread with these names? I have also seen a descendant's name spelled Mullane. Should I be searching for all of these names? Do these variations point to one standardized spelling?
