Judith D'Arcy

Posted by Patrick D'Arcy <pjd@lineone.net> on Tue, 07 Jul 2009, in response to D'Arcy Hyde Park, posted by David Hope on Mon, 06 Jul 2009

David, Diana

I can't find any Judiths in my fairly extensive database of D'Arcys. The Hyde Park line - which shares my distant ancestry - starts with James D'Arcy (1740-1803) married to Martha Grierson. He purchased Hyde Park in Meath in 1755. They had 5 daughters - contemporary with your Judith - Martha, Harriet, Frances, Alicia and Elizabeth. The current
Hyde Park 'arms holder' supplied me with all his own ancestry details and those of many other associated lines, but again, no Judith. A marriage in England suggests her father was stationed here. You might find something in the Army Lists in the National Archive at Kew.

If you glean anything more I would always try to assist further.

Regards

Patrick
