Harland

Posted by Steven Cords <scordsdu@asualumni.org> on Thu, 25 Jun 2009, in response to i'm a harland too, posted by Stacey Harland on Sun, 02 May 2004

Most Harlans/ Harlands/ Harlins alive today are direct descendants of George or Michael Harland who emigrated from England and Ireland or from Thomas Harland who remained in Ireland These original Harlans were Quakers and came to the new world seeking religious freedom. They arrived at William Penn's Colony at New Castle, Delaware in 1687.

Prominent Australian Heritage too.

My Grandfathers are John and Bob Harland and many Johns and Bobs and no record on the American arrival. Pre 1900's/1800's
