I was born Samantha McAree - second daughter of Graeme Terence McAree -born in Australia 1970.My father's mother - Gene McAree was married to Thomas McAree - my Grandfather. Even though their marriage did not last, I was lucky enough to know my grandmother(of the McAree family) until 1985 - when she passed away. I was 15yrs. My grandfather - Thomas McAree had a very successful clothing business in Melbourne. Unfortunately,times became hard and my grandfather hard to sell the business.I can still remember-as a child- going into his factory and seeing all the beautiful clothes. He used to give some of the dresses to my mother as a gift. My grandfathers brother - Terence McAree - had a very lucritive business in Echuca - Victoria. This was a clothing business and now is still there but I believe as a second hand store. Their mother is buried in the Echuca cemetary.I have never responded to a family tree. I hope that this short email has not wasted your time. As the McAree family tree goes -within my direct family - I am the last of the McAree's.... but now married.
