McGranes in Idaho

Hi James
Were any of your McGranes political men or perhaps a mayor? My family heresay has a McGrane going to Kellogg, Idaho, and becoming mayor. Did try to follow that up. The McGrane did go to Idaho (found him on a census) but not so sure about the mayor bit. This McGrane was the brother of my great grandmother. They may have come from around Westmeath but I'm not positive about that. The McGranes are my least well known line. I have this McGrane's name somewhere...it'll take me weeks to find it in years' worth of family history papers but his sister's name was Julia (although she got called Therese or Tess by everyone). Tess stayed in Ireland and married a McConn and they lived in Mayo.
