My mom died on my 37th birthday

Hello all,
Just to let you know, I am so sorry for all of your losses. I really believe that not too many of us understand what it's like to lose a parent on your birthday. My mom and I were close and I was the one that took care of her for so long, yet when she died on my birthday all I could think of was all the bad times we had and that's why she died on my birthday. My dad died when I was only 9 years old so I became parentless at a relatively young age. I still miss them both so much.

It's been almost 13 years now since mom died, and please know that time does heal, but you never forget and you never really view your birthday quite the same.
