What the surname Harloff means.

Posted by Kevin P. Harloff <kevpfsu@aol.com> on Tue, 20 Jan 2009, in response to what does my last name mean?, posted by Nicole Harloff on Wed, 09 Mar 2005

Harloff means "bold strong wolf" or "bold wolf". It comes from Hardolfe and traces back to Germany and Europe. I have traced it back to the 15th century but I think the Christians were still burning books back then, so its hard to find the proper records.
