briggs fam

I am a little late to the (email) table here, but we all have the same name. Ken Briggs from the San Fran Bay Area at this end. I am trying to track down my father's and especially grandfather's origins. Dad was Darwin Martin Briggs, born in 1919 in Sacto and died in 1993. His Pop was Norman E Briggs, who I can't trace at all. There are some whiffs from the Mendocino County Briggs family, but nothing solid. Some whiffs from the deep south (Alabama), but nothing solid. I know that Norman was listed in San Fran in the US Census in 1920 and in 1930 (with family). I have been unable to get any deeper than that.

Any help out there??
