William Warren Briggs

I am looking for my mother's father. He married? Hazel Myers and Emilie Briggs Myers was born in June 1929(Emily Meyers on birth cert. grandmother had something tricky going on...maybe they never married or maybe she wanted to keep him from getting mom or was spiteful-they didn't stay together long-he was seen with someone else by her when mom was 7ish)
The Myers lived in Lewistown NY on Pletcher Road near the river and Stella Niagara school.
He was a commercial artist, they met in Champaign Illinois. She was an army nurse. He wanted to see mom but when he came to the farm they wouldn't let him and he got mad and shot the mailbox? So the story goes.
I would love to find a photo of him or info before mom is too old...
