Harlands from Northern Ireland?

Posted by Cheryl Williams Harland <cherylwilliams2@sympatico.ca> on Tue, 19 Feb 2008, in response to Harland Family Tree, posted by Tracey Vincent (Harland) on Tue, 13 May 2003

Hi all, I've been tracing my family tree for years and just recently started looking into my husband's Harland genealogy. Unfortunately I haven' gotten very far because although we know my husband's grandfather was Thomas Stockton HARLAND of Belfast, no one can remember any names from the previous generation!

Family legend has it they may be descended from the nephews of Sir Edward Harland of Harland and Wolff Shipping Co. However, we have nothing to verify this.

Please send me an email if you think you might be able to help in any way.

Thx
