G'day From Killeen Texas

Posted by Richard Arlington Briggs, Jr. <CaptActor82nd@yahoo.com> on Fri, 01 Feb 2008, in response to Lineage!!, posted by Jimmy E Briggs on Thu, 31 Jan 2008

G'day Jimmy! :-)
Yes, Briggs Texas was renamed for the mother-in-law of the town doctor. I've downloaded a number of articles from a Google search which includes a horrible tornado and other disasters in the early 1900's. Yes, based on some fireside tales from my late Grandfather Grover Romaine Briggs, our Briggs moved from Iowa to Texas in the 1800's. Also, working backwards, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio...possibly Pennsylvania and then? Still seeking. Need to dash. Be safe, Be well. Aye kinsman. Richard. ;-D
