Mctigue Family

Posted by Cecilia Santora <wytewynd@yahoo.com> on Thu, 23 Jan 2003, in response to mctigue, posted by eamonn murphy on Sat, 11 Jan 2003

Dear Eamonn,
I have tried to send you an e-mail an was not sucessful. I am hoping you can e-mail me. I am trying to trace my mothers birth records through my Grandfather. He was Michale Mctigue.. He was a prise fighter and won the light heavy weight Championship of the world in Ireland on 17.03.1923. This is why I am not sure where my mum was born. They (my Grandfather and Grandmother) had come over for the fight.. They had already immigrated to New York by the time he fought. My Grandmother's maiden name is Cecilia Manning. I was named for her. My mothers maiden name was Margaret Ann Mctigue I have no family left in the world that I know of and would love to find my relatives. I am living in Switzerland and can easily make the trip and very much want to come over and see Ireland. Thanks in advance for the help. Please e-mail me at wytewynd@yahoo.com.
