Hello Mike, My Jane was baptised 8/8/1830 in Chelster-le-street. Her parents are George Harland and Dorothy Smith.They married in Penshaw on 24/1/1818. Jane married James Brown in October 1853 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Jane had brothers,Thomas1818,George1823,John1826,Robert1828,
William1835 (who died an infant?)All came to Australia except Dorothy died abt1848 and John&Thomas. Still researching those two. I am a decendant of Jane. I need to find parents for George Harland snr he was born in Crook. If you think you have any info I'd be grateful regards, Karen
