Jane Harland - Lumley

Posted by Mike Mayor <mike.mayor@ukonline.co.uk> on Sun, 25 Nov 2007, in response to Sir Edward Harland family, posted by Karen Ciccone on Tue, 11 Jan 2005

I have been researching the Harlands for some time but only just spotted your message. Could this be your one? Can you let me know what it shows on her marriage certificate?

The St. Mary & St. Cuthbert Church, Chester-Le-Street shows Jane Harland being baptised on 1 September 1830, together with her brother William Thomas, the daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth Harland. Joseph is shown as a Farmer living in Great Lumley.

1841 census shows her living with her parents and 5 brothers and sisters in Harland Square, Great Lumley she is aged 12.

1851 census shows her living with her parents in Little Lumley aged 23 born in County Durham.
