CEBALLOS name COUNTRY origination

Hi my name is jose ceballos i would very much like to find what country this last name originated and what does it mean. I would also like to contact any of my distant relatives and try to trace them back as far as possible.My father was born in a town close to Cosala sinaloa mexico where as far as Ive been told is close to A town from Durango where i have been told there are many decendents whith the last name of Ceballos. please email me back If anybody has some usefull info.
