I have also been looking for the origins of the name Henke. From what I have gotten I know that the name originated in Germany, most likely Bavaria (southern Germany), where the name "Henker" in german is translated to executioner or hangman. The family crest I have not been able to find a definative one; I have however seen three different ones. That is all the information that I have about the origins of Henke.
