I'm also a Melchor!!!!!!

I've always wondered where my part of the Melchor family originates from. I was born in England, but my parents come from the Carribean Island of St Lucia. It seems as if the name orininates from either South America, Spain or I've also heard of Melchor's in Italy. Can anybody shed any light on this? Look forward to your answers!!!!!!
