Lucatero

Posted by saul lucatero <saul.lucaterochavez@us.army.mil> on Mon, 31 Jan 2005, in response to lucatero or alvarez?, posted by Susana on Sun, 09 Jan 2005

I was told that 4 brothers, last name Genova, came from Italy and stayed with a man who had no family and with the last name Lucatero. When he died he left everything to them because they became his family and they changed their last name to Lucatero. They lived in Michoacan and were part of a great dynasty that came about during the time of the Cristeros. I've been looking around to find relatives of ours all over. I've had a few contacts here and there but nothing continuous. We have family all over the U.S., Mexico and some parts of Canada. There are a couple of people with the last name Lucatero still in Italy but it's kinda hard to contact them through email. Eventually i'll give them a call when i feel brave enough, lol. Feel free to email me if you'd like.
