My name is Jose Briones

Posted by Jose Briones <jbriones@irmc.com> on Fri, 16 May 2003, in response to BRIONES RELATIVES, posted by BRIONES on Sun, 08 Dec 2002

My parents are from Spain, yes there are still a few of us still there. They emmigrated to Canada from Spain in the 1960's. Most of the family is still in Spain and I see them every few years when we visit. It is actually a rare name in Spain. Most of the Briones' in Canada are from Filipino descent. Would love to hear from some of my distant cousins.
There is a town in Lerida in Spain by the name of Briones. IT is supposed to be the birthplace of the name, obviously our ancestors liked to travel, some of us still do.
