Bivano Lopez from Zacatecas

Posted by Rebecca <stuartbrood@aol.com> on Sun, 03 Nov 2002, in response to surnames in region, posted by Biviano Martinez on Thu, 24 Oct 2002

Dear Biviano,
I have many ancestors who immigrated to arizona then california from Zacatecas, I've researched as far as Biviano Lopez born 1877 in Pasa de Sotos, he married Crispina Martinez in De Lo De Carrerra. Her parents were Susano Martinez and Romula Lopez. Biviano and Crispina had 7 children : Christino, Bruna, Petra, (my grandmother) Reyes, Lupe, and Felipe, and Joseph. about 1914 Biviano sent for his family from arizona and Chrispina and all 7 children came over on a flat-bed train (she held them on with her reboso to keep them from falling off.) apparrently they came over because the government was in chaos and war broke out. I'm just curious if any of these names ring a bell with you. apparrently my Biviano was an orphan and they can't find info. if you have any info, that might be useful I would enjoy hearing from you, thank-you, Rebecca
