Michel family from Rancho de Los Gonzales

My grandfather is Filiberto Michel and was born in Rancho de Los Gonzales. He was born in the late 1800's/early 1900's. Does anyone have any information on the last name? I am working on my family tree and would love some history or info on who I could contact in the town. Thank you.
