Apellido Pereiro

Hola, deseo saber si mi segundo apellido Pereiro es de origen Sefaradí, es decir, judío español. Lo que sé de Pereiro es que es gallego (de Galicia, al norte de España y son cuatro las provincias que la componen – La Coruña, Orense, Lugo y Pontevedra). Pereiro es también un manzano cuyo fruto es el pero y es muy similar al apellido Pereira (Pereyra) en la raíz del apellido, pero Pereira es un peral y es considerado como apellido judío (Sefaradí).
Todo lo que sepan de la supuesta raíz hebrea de Pereiro, me la comunican a la siguiente dirección de e-mail: andador5000@hotmail.com . Desde ya, les agradezco los comentarios que me hagan llegar, pero, siempre y cuando, digan o afirmen si Pereiro es judío o no.
