Apellido Pereiro

Deseo saber si el origen de mi apellido Pereiro que es muy parecido a Pereira con la única y exclusiva diferencia que el mío culmina con O y no con A es safaradí. El apellido gallego-portugués Pereira es considerado judío sefaradí, pero Pereiro que posee una misma raíz en la etimología es un manzano cuyo fruto es el pero y Pereiro es gallego (de Galicia, al norte de España, conformada por cuatro provincias- La Coruña, Orense, Lugo y Pontevedra). Pereira es un peral silvestre. Por último díganme si Pereiro es judío o no. Es un apellido muy antiguo que se remonta a la Edad Media.
