Estimado Guillermo: Es posible que el apellido sea universal, o al menos tiene muchas ramas a través del mundo; con respecto a la línea en Chile, encontré además de los datos mencionados, en los apellidos alemanes de las familias que llegaron a Chile, el apellido Becher.

Sin embargo, al menos yo puedo concluir, que el apellido, como usted bien dijo, es universal y que tiene muchos exponentes; por mi parte, yo se que de la línea de la cual provengo es de la línea de Alemania, por los detalles que en mi historia familiar he encontrado.
