Is leo Araguz Mexican

Posted by Thomas Cleary <clearyt@rgv.rr.com> on Tue, 10 Mar 2009, in response to I am Mexican, posted by Leo Araguz on Thu, 07 Oct 2004

As near as I can figure, Araguz definetly sounds like a full blooded Irish name. Then on the other hand it sounds like it might possibly be from a lost Mongolian Tribe in Northern China. There is also a possibility that it might be an Egyptian name. It just does not make sense to me that a person born in the Rio Grande Valley of Tejas, formerly Mexico, would possible be of Mexican heritage, therefore also Native American. What's in a name? I remember meeting a laplander from N.W. Europe near Norway by that same last name. TDC My last name is Cleary, sounds Irish, but I am Native American
