Well, there is a family who's last name is Padilla in Nueva Italia. My mom was born in Nueva Italia, she's from the Ortiz/Garcia family, anyway she says that when the Italians came they built a forest in Nueva Italia, that was there shelter. Rumor has it that they built a tunnel that led back to Italy. She also says she had a friend who's name was Ivan who had Italian roots.
