An Araguz Descendant

Posted by Thomas Araguz III <thomasaraguz@gmail.com> on Sat, 06 Sep 2008, in response to Araguz Last Name, posted by Carlos Jaime Araguz on Fri, 29 Feb 2008

Well we have many relatives in Wharton, Texas that originate from the Texas Rio Grande Valley area. The last name seems to originate from the border of Spain and France and also is tie to Croatian descent. The records we have found seem to report that Boza de Araguz was a sailor of some sort. The name means Christian. We are very interested in researching to find extended family and link the family genealogy. Boza seems to have lived in the early 1500's.It seems that he came to South America through Peru.....from one Araguz to another
