looking for lost family
Posted by Christine Ubieta <jellybean91675@yahoo.com> on Tue, 22 Apr 2008
Hi, I am a New York native, American to say the least : ) my mother is all Italian and my father had a mother who was Italian as well but my last name, "Ubieta", i received from my grandfather who was Cuban and Spanish.
my grandfather, who is deceased now, never spoke a lot about his family and I have always been curious about my family from his side- there are some I know still living in Florida and as a child I knew one of his brothers who would visit often, Mickey, but have not seen him in years (we're not sure if he's still living)
my grandfather had in total (i think) of 4-5 brothers and one sister. his parents were named Domingo and Caridad (i did a family tree in college!)
I would love to make contact with anyone who may be related to me and can shed some light on my grandfather's family history- if that is you please get in touch !
