The Genealogy of the Arbol Rascon

Posted by Oscar Reuben Rascon <orascon@verizon.net> on Sat, 15 Mar 2008

Hello,

My search is for the descendents of Joaquin Rascón, son of Jose Rascon.

My name is Oscar Reuben Rascón. I am a 10th generation Rascón born in El Paso, Texas. I and about half a dozen or so cousins have been researching our Rascón roots for about eight years now. One cousin who lives in Temosachic, Chihuahua, Rafael, has been at it for over twenty years!

And thanks to other cousins like Teresita Rascón and the Mexican authors Miguel Angel Giner Rey, Jesus Jose Araujo Montes and Encarnación Brondo Whitt, I have been able to compile genealogy information on two of the three major branches of our Árbol Rascón; the Juan Felix and the Jose de Jesus branches.

We have over 1,600 individuals in our Rascón tree database. Our Árbol Rascón reaches back to about the year 1696 when our progenitor, Jose Rascón, was born in Basuchil, Chihuahua. The three major branches of our family tree were started by his sons: Juan Felix, Joaquin and Jose de Jesus. I am from the Jose de Jesus branch.

The three pueblos or areas the Hermanos Rascon lived in include Uruachic, Temosachic, and Maguarachic, Chihuahua. All three lived in Uruachic but Jose de Jesus relocated to Temosachic and Joaquin moved to Maguarachic.

I do not have any information or data about the Joaquin Rascon branch. I would like to exchange family tree information with the descendents of Joaquin Rascon.

Warmest regards,

Oscar R. Rascón
