the expulsion of jews from portugal was in 1496,only few years after the "spain expulsion". many sephardic jews moved to portugal in these years. few of them that's remained forced in 1497 to convert to christianity and many did. by the way, asturias is not very far from the village "millara" which considered as the origin of "miyara"..Display message for printing | Print Entire Thread
