apellido vejar

junto con saludar.
quisiera tambien unirme a la busqueda de nuestro apellido.
lo que yo se, es lo siguiente.
mi abuelo se llama luis albero vejar muñoz y proviene de una familia de 15 hermanos todos estos nacidos en el sur de Chile y que ahora solo estan quedando solo dos.
Un día conocí a un extranjero (Sirio precisamente) y me confirmo que el apellido Vejar proviene de Siria y que quiere decir "amante del Fuego" pero se escribe Vejar y se pronuncia Vellaarr.
