Posted by Jose Aldebot <jaldebot@kinco.net> on Sun, 31 Jul 2005, in response to Aldebol, posted by Jael Aldebot on Mon, 30 Aug 2004

Hello,

My name is Jose Gabriel Aldebot. I am the Grandson of Jose Gabriel Aldebot

This is what I understand. However; I will be visiting with my Dad very soon and I will confirm the following information.

The Aldebot (Aldebol) last name has its origin in Northern France. It used to spell Aldebo.

Once it moved to Puerto Rico, the L was added at the end. Once it moved to the Domincan Republic then the l became a T.

Again, I will be visiting with Dad and get more inforamtion. I know he did an extensive research on it.

It is good to know that we are interested in finding out our roots.

My greatgrampa which lived in Puerto Rico for sometime, He then married Maria Urena from the Dominican Republic. The had the following sons and daughters:
Jose Gabriel (My Grampa)
Jose Antonio
William
Jaime Danilo
Consuelo
Caridad
Carmen
Maria Mercedes

Most of these, moved to NY even Grampa. He later came back to the DR and died there.

There are only two Aldebot in Santo Domingo (DR) the rest are in Santiago.

I don't know them very well but Dad does.

Please write me so I can stay in touch with you.

Jose Gabriel
