Documentario

Posted by Pedro Murguia III <ledtzeppelin@hotmail.com> on Wed, 13 Apr 2005

Hi Tal,

I am not sure if I would be of much help, but if I am it is all up to you.

I am 4th generation Mexican, born in Tijuana, Baja California. My father, grandfather, & great-grandfather were all born in the town of San Clemente, Jalisco. My 2nd great-grandfather came from Spain (where exactly, unknown). I have been living in California since I was 2 years of age and while I was in grade school we used to live in Mexico a quarter of the year at my grandmothers' house (spend the summer vacation months with family). From my mother's side of the family alone, I am one of 28 cousins...my mother had 6 sisters & 6 brothers.

Though I speak Spanish & English fluently & without accents, "white" people look at me differently because I am a "white" person speaking Spanish and Mexicans look at me different because I am a Mexican that looks like a "white guy".

I ended up marrying a woman of German decent.

Good luck with the documentario!
Pedro Murguia Fuentes
