Bread thieves

Posted by Philip Gurnhill on Thu, 02 Aug 2001, in response to Australian Gurnhills - not sheep thiefs!, posted by Anna Gurnhill on Thu, 02 Aug 2001

Whoa Anna,

Whatever hapenned to the legendary Australian sense of humour, or is it only funny when its directed against the poms. As you well know many English names in Australia originate from the time it was used as a penal colony. It is an amusing fact rather than a critical appraisal of current generation morals.

I would be interested in where your Grandparents came from as it appears that we all hail from one family but it is difficult to identify the strands and where they meet.

Lighten up

Phil
