Evans mtDNA

Your words of wisdom into this new dimension of research has helped a lot to incourage me to further my own search. I got my feet wet by sponsoring my brother to do the DNA for our family name and an uncle to do it for my mother's maiden name. They were very successful and has opened new doors and possibilities that probably would never have come to light had this not been done.I was thinking the same thing about your Ann and William. It really wasn't that unusual for cousins to marry especially when this country was first being settled and people, even relatives, lived so far apart.
As you know it is a good chunk of change but my mtDNA test is next on my list. I will let you know if I find anything exciting with my Evans search. Sincerely, thanks again for your help and suggestions. Sally
