Dungey

Posted by Mikel A. Blount <Oatisp@aol.com> on Sun, 01 Dec 2002, in response to In response to 'Dungey' surname, posted by Melody Goddard on Mon, 04 Nov 2002

My mother's maiden name was Helen L. Dungey and we are from the central Illinois area of the U.S. My grandfather's (Byron Charles Dungey) father, William Dungey, ran away from home in Canada and ended up in Bloomington Illinois. (Bloomington-Normal is considered to be a twin-cities within Illinois.) My cousin (Byron Dungey) still lives in the immediate area. I'm not sure if there is any association with your family because we've never been able to track it back any further than the eastern part of Canada.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Mike Blount
