Is my last name Italian?

Is may last name Italian?I heard a lot of people say my last name is Italian and I really wanted to know if it was true.For the 15 years of my life I've never heard of my last name being Italian but than my friends and including one of my family members(my mom)talking about the family tree than it started going to the meaning of names than to where the names came from.
